Professional Development

Formerly the Greater Keokuk Young Professionals, the Leaders of Southeast Iowa Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)3, committed to promoting quality leadership principles and providing service opportunities to leaders of all ages and professions throughout the Tri-States area.

Lee County Leadership is a community leadership program organized in partnership with Iowa State University and Outreach and the Fort Madison Chamber of Commerce. The program is designed to bring emerging leaders together to guide and foster positive change in Lee County. Participants utilize a research-based curriculum to understand community leadership in their own communities, work together to identify issues and frame ideas, learn skills to build social capital, and mobilize resources for community action.
Participants interact with local leaders and learn about various resources through organized tours and leadership panels. They also attend Southeast Iowa Region Days in Des Moines, networking with legislators and more than 80 regional leaders. Sessions are held at venues throughout the county, showcasing the uniqueness of each. Encourage your employees to apply for this valuable personal and professional development experience.
